Myofunctional therapy is a series of exercises that strengthen and repattern oropharyngeal muscles. This exercise sequence is sometimes called rehabituation. OMT teaches people how to break old habits and create new ones. Habits that will last a lifetime require adjustments, so the therapy may take a while.
